The N series is a very popular coaxial connector. It is a medium sized, precision, weatherproof connector with a screw terminal. In some applications this connector can be used up to 11 GHz. Only 50 Ω impedances are available. Different connector styles are available for flexible, semi-rigid and corrugated cable types. Both crimp and clamp cable termination methods are used for this series. Special design techniques for the connector series have resulted in excellent performance levels in terms of return loss (VSWR) and intermodulation distortion. These connectors are used in applications other than signal and data transmission where vibration immunity and environmental protection are required. The N Series offers a medium performance, high frequency solution for coaxial connections.
