To this end, the integrated LED module provides a high intensity flash and brightness of 18,000 Cd(p) to be precise, and 5,000 Cd(p) for continuous lighting or flashing. Therefore, the traffic light has a 3000 mAh Li-ion battery. Maximum current draw: 0.6A @ 12Vdc. And its input voltage: 10-30Vdc.

What weather conditions are traffic lights designed for?

As with other traffic engineering devices, this type of traffic light must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions. After all, there is no question of these lights not working properly in bad weather. To this end, the traffic lights available in the DND Telecom webshop are IP65 dust and water resistant.

What exactly does this mean? The number 6 means that the lamp is completely dustproof. This means that the device is fully protected against the ingress of large amounts of dust. Therefore, even the smallest particles of dust cannot penetrate the inside of the device and the lamp will work perfectly even in these conditions. But what does the other digit, 5, stand for?

The second number tells us that the traffic light is protected against low-pressure water jets from all directions, i.e. the light is rainproof. Of course, this does not mean that if you put it under water it will work in that situation. The Portable Safety Llama is IP67 rated, which already indicates that it will work without problems in extreme rain.

What colours are available for the traffic lights?

The traffic light available in the DND Telecom webshop illuminates critical road sections in yellow. Wearable safety lights are available in several colours, including yellow, red and blue. It all depends on the application, i.e. which organisation, agency or public utility company is using it.
