This adapter cable connects to the power and loudspeaker sockets at the rear of the SCG to a single point that plugs into the power lead assembly connector.
When replacing the SRG3 series with a SCG22 and wishing to keep the existing installation cables, an adapter lead is available to enable the installer to re-use the existing power cable assembly supplied with the SRG radio.
This lead provides power for the SCG22 in a vehicle installation. The ignition sense wire enables the radio power state to be controlled by the vehicle ignition system.
The Power/Ignition lead is supplied with in-line fuses and connects to the Power port on the rear of an SCG22 radio. The lenght of this cabel is 5 meter.
• The HBC (Handset-Based Console) Interface Box is required to connect the HBC to the SRG3900/SCG22 and attaches to the HBC cradle
• Mic and PPT can also be connected
• Push-button microphone button
• Easy to attach to any SCC3, HBC3 and AIU consoles
• Available with 5 m cable length
These include, among other things, connections with polarity reversal protection or mechanical clamping of the contacts. The current and voltage level are also decisive factors when selecting a connector. In order to ensure that cables and connectors fully meet these diverse requirements, a large number of cables, plugs and sockets are available on the market

How to choose the right Two-way Radio Connecting Cable, Adapter Cable, Power Cable?
The DND Telecom webshop offers a wide range of interconnect cables for computers, tablets, laptops, microphones, speakers. Our webshop specialists will always help you choose the right interconnecting cable for the right device. The greater the range of devices that can be connected to your home or office transceivers, the greater the number of different interconnecting cables.
Of these, you can choose a DC power cable, a 15-pin D-sub ACC cable, a 6-meter external control cable for a marine radio or, for example, a 2.5-meter microphone extension cable. The choice is huge, and the cables and connectors we use every day are only the smallest part of the many connectors.
When choosing an adapter cable, what features should you look for to ensure compatibility and optimum performance?
One of the most important criteria is to choose an adapter or power cable that is fully compatible with your transceiver. For example, the right adapter cable can be used to transmit sound from the transceiver to external speakers. In addition to sound quality, you should also pay special attention to the material and quality of the cable.
For optimum performance, also make sure you choose a product with quality connectors, as this will result in excellent transmission quality and long life.
What types of connectors are available for transceiver interconnect cables and how to choose the right one for your devices?
The use of a connector is always important and necessary when exchanging digital information between two devices. Today, the most common connectors in the field of data transfer are USB connectors, which are available in a wide variety of designs. But for devices that can be connected to transceivers, RJ-45, RS-32, D-SUB 25-pin connectors, 3.5 Jack plugs, 2-pin L-type screw connectors, 5.23 mm/3P sockets, 6.3 mm/2P sockets and 3.5 mm/4P sockets are also coming to the fore.
What are the most important technical parameters to consider when selecting transceiver interconnect and adapter cables?
The most important thing to consider when choosing interconnect and adapter cables is the length of the cable and its thickness. But you should also pay close attention to the connectors at the two ends of the cable. This will largely determine the compatibility of the connection and adapter cable. Because unfortunately, in many cases neither the dimensions nor the socket assignment are standard.
What is the difference between the different types of shielding for transceiver interconnect cables and why is this important for the choice?
Cable shielding is an important consideration to minimise electromagnetic interference. Electromagnetic shielding can be divided into three types. The first is electrostatic, the second is magnetostatic and the third is high frequency electromagnetic shielding. In each case, the aim is to use the induction of the external field to counteract the effect of the external field. However, because of the different nature of the field to be shielded, the materials used for shielding and their effects are also different.
There are therefore two main types. One is polymer, the second type is metal wire weave, which mainly refers to the use of metal wire as the basic material for the design of the shading mesh. Both are used to protect against magnetic interference. In order to choose the most suitable interconnecting cable for our purposes, we need to consider four aspects when selecting the shielding material.
What are they? The first is shielding efficiency requirements, the second is environmental sealing requirements, the third is installation structure requirements, and last but not least is cost.
A wide range of transceiver interconnect cables, adapter cables and power cables are available from the DND Telecom webshop for successful data transmission. For example, if the monitor connector no longer fits your new transceiver, choosing the right adapter can often seem like an impossible task. That's why the staff at DND Telecom's webshop will be happy to help you find the right cable and connector.
