There is one detail to consider when buying a handheld transceiver microphone, and that is the length of the cable. The right length will make it easier to work or, if you use the transceiver as a hobby, to spend your free time in comfort. But it's also important that the microphone itself is made of hard plastic so that it won't get damaged if you drop it or it slips out of your hand, and that it has an intelligent noise filter.
