The “Household Batteries” segment comprises the battery business for end customers, including household batteries, accumulators, chargers, portable power (power banks) and lights as well as energy storage devices.

Lithium-Ion Solutions & Microbatteries
The segment is divided into Microbatteries, Lithium-Ion CoinPower, Large Lithium-Ion Cells and Power Pack Solutions.
- Microbatteries: VARTA's Microbatteries segment is the leading international manufacturer of microbatteries for a wide range of applications, from hearing aid batteries to automotive use. We count the most important companies among our customers and produce batteries in numerous important electrochemical systems as well as shapes and sizes.
- Lithium-Ion CoinPower: Applications are becoming smaller, lighter and smarter. The demands on the energy supply in these areas are constantly increasing. The battery is the strategic component of these devices and has made many development breakthroughs possible for manufacturers in the first place. VARTA CoinPower combines our strengths, our experience and our market leadership in button cells with modern lithium-ion technology. Innovative design meets highest energy density. - Power Pack Solutions: Outstanding, innovative technology deserves a battery solution that fits seamlessly into the system and its design. A highly individual, customised battery as the driving force to bring ideas to life. The Solutions segment has extensive industry experience in designing high-performance, safe and on-demand lithium-ion battery packs - for medical technology, robotics, connectivity or telecommunications. The product portfolio ranges from customised battery packs, where development is supported by our experts from the first idea to series production, to ready-configured standard batteries that are available immediately.
Household Batteries
The segment is divided into batteries, rechargeables, special batteries, lights, powerbanks, cables and accessories, chargers and energy storage systems.
- Consumer: With the Consumer Batteries segment, VARTA AG is one of the most important international manufacturers of portable batteries. In addition to batteries, VARTA’s range also includes rechargeable batteries, power banks, chargers and lights. The innovative quality products are developed and manufactured with the latest technology and the know-how of internationally qualified specialists. In addition to the innovative strength, the range, quality and design make the offer unique. In this segment, VARTA also relies on the production location in Germany.
- Energy Storage: In the Energy Storage segment, VARTA contributes to the energy transition by developing and manufacturing energy storage systems. The energy storage solutions from VARTA in the home and industrial storage market range from compact entry-level models, such as the wall-mounted system VARTA pulse neo, to our larger energy storage system VARTA flex storage for commercial applications. The AC-coupled systems have an integrated battery inverter and can be combined with all sources of green energy without an additional PV inverter. This makes them suitable for all new installations and retrofits. The intelligent energy management system also ensures optimal use of self-produced solar energy and is designed to significantly increase self-consumption.
